Vilka färger på läder kan man ha haft på vikingatiden? Finns det arkeologiska belägg eller annat tex samtida skrifter eller fynd från andra delar av Europa på färgat läder från den tiden?

Det är inte mycket källor på detta, men jag kommer att träffa en forskare i augusti som har gått igenom just det här med läder och ska ställa frågan.

I övrigt så finns det såvitt jag vet historiska belägg för "svärtning" av skor från i a f 1200-talet.
