Senromerskt skall det vara! Då fanns skandinavier i den romerska hären och mot den, och influenserna flödade!
Plus att det var lite mera jämt skägg mellan "barbarer" och romare!
Som sagt, så länge jag inte behöver fixa en massa ny kit, så kan jag vara en foederatii med min dräkt. Möjligen auxilliarii men min folkvandringsdräkt är nog inte riktigt rätt.

Ja det är en kanonsida. Dock är trenden det senaste halvåret en förskjutning mot det senromerska hos rävarna på romanarmy också!

Matti. Ska du till stridsdagarna? Jag hoppas att jag kan åka dit då kan vi slå oss ned och planera detta senromerska/herul/folkvandringstida projekt mer!

It will be a part of Cohors III Batavia, a group based in southern England. Our aim is to recreate as accurately as we can the average germanic auxiliary infantry soldier as he might have appeared at the time of the emperor Trajanus. This highly interesting field of Roman re-enactment is becoming increasingly popular, and we strive to move away from the 'chocolate box' image of the Roman soldier, i.e the legionary clad only in tunica militaris, caligae, and wearing highly polished lorica segmenta and imperial gallic helmet. The notion that the auxilia were somehow inferior troops is thankfully vanishing. If anyone is interested in authentic, theatrics free Roman re-enactment, PM me. There will be trips to England to take part in shows there, as well as our own here in Sweden. The 'peregre' Cohors III Batavia is part of the Swedish Roman Research Society. I can speak Swedish, incidentally..[8D]
