Bland annat en "Willhelm Tell historia" bland mycket annat och Palna Toke var före Wilhelm Tell att skjuta äpplet från huvudet om jag inte missminner mig.

Det har spekulerats en del om att det faktum att bågskytte inte bara var förbehållet tränade krigare - inga dyra material krävs och nästan alla kan lära sig skjuta båge - är orsaken till att det inte nämns så ofta i sagamaterialet (men bågskyttar förekommer ändå lite då och då).

Jagade man inte säl med båge? I så fall torde den väl varit ett ganska så vanligt jaktvapen på island. Men nu kommer jag nog lite ur spår här så det är bäst att jag drar mig ur diskussionen :)

topic: vad för utrustning skulle man tänka sig en vikingatida bågskytt
använda sig av.. Långbåge som primärt vapen (eller är flatbåge också historiskt korekt?) en dolk, kanske en Scramasax som bars horisontelt på ryggen... brynja eller inte, hjälm tycker ju att som bågskytt borde man ha lite lättare "rustning" fanns det rustningar i härdad läder?
ja hur som hälst jag vill ha en liten beskrivning på hur man borde se ut...


Tillägg:
Eftersom det mest fokuseras på vapen flyttar jag den dit och inte till rustningstråden.
