Nu bor jag i Sveg, jag skulle ju kunna se efter imorgon om den finns på biblioteket här.
En klasskamrat som pysslat en del med instrumentbygge har sagt att han kan höra med sina kontakter när det gäller material, och en annan klasskamrats mor har sagt att vi skulle kunna få tagel av dem då de har hästar. Nu känns det som att det är lite på gång iallafall. :)

Har du tur tycker han eller hon att det låter kul och är villig att sälja dig ett bra lockämne billigt.
Du kan förstås slakta en gammal gitarr också, men då kan man få problem med lacken.

Jo, gran är bra lock.
Bra musikträ (hårt och lätt) kan väl va kul att använda, ju trevligare instument man har desto bättre använder man dom.

Tagelsträngar tvinnas. inte flätas. Det vanligaste idag är att tvinna strängen direkt på instrumentet. Både tarm och tagel stämmer ur sig lätt, men de fungerar helt olika. Tagelträngen reagerar kraftigt på fuktförändringar. Bra tagelsträngar som används i konstant luftfuktighet håller stämningen mycket väl. Tagelsträngar har även varit vanliga på fiol förr i tiden. Tyvärr finns det väldigt lite dokumenterat om bruk av tagel som strängmaterial.

Jag tillverkar färdiga tagelsträngar. I första hand för eget bruk men även för viss försäljning.
