Hej! Tänkte höra om någon har en bra länk med bilder på sänggavlarna man fann i Osebergsskeppet,tänkte jag skulle fräsha upp min säng lite!

De ser onekligen lite för små ut... Jag Googlade runt och hittade den [url="http://www.fjellborg.org/LodinsOsebergBed.htm"]här sidan[/url] med lite olika "originalbilder" och en eller två tankar om vilka av de bilder av Osebergssängen som egentligen är av det ursprungliga fyndet.

Nu har jag gett denna säng till barnen och jag och sambon ligger i en som ser ut som den stora Osebergsängen. Men det blir ett digert lass att släpa på.

När det gäler sängen från Gokstad så undrar jag om det fanns några rester av en madrass? Det är ju väldigt glest mellan plankorna i botten. Är man död kanske det spelar mindre roll men som levande skulle det inte vara skönt.

Den typ av skåpsäng det skrivs om i Egilsagan är helt enkelt i grunden en väggfast sänglave med luckor in mot rummet för att ge lite avskilldhet.

Så - visst - om det är vikingatidens absoluta toppskikt du vill gestalta så kan du använda Osebergs- och Gokstad-sängarna som förlaga. Själv är jag mindre kunglig och begagnar mig av ryamattor på varierande underlag. Det är svårt att vika ihop en säng så enkelt. Liksom tälten genererar sängar långa brädor som kräver båt, packhästar, eller i värsta fall bil för att släpa runt...
