Jag har ett vagt minne från barndomen om ett gammalt hus (hembygdsgård?) med en bjälke liggande på golvet någon meter in ifrån dörren. Den hade samma funktion och fascinerade mig stort.

Stackarbjälken kunde ibland vara helt utanför husets konstruktion och bara sitta för sig själv mitt i rummet

Anders, jeg lurer også på om du vet om bjelken har noen byggkonstruksjonsmessig funksjon? Stikker den for eksempel ut av veggen på utsiden, eller hugges den av der? Går den på tvers i rommet? Det ser ut sånn på bildet.
