Exakt vad du menar med borg är jag lite osäker på. Rundborg? Kastal? "Slott"?
Kollar man på Eketorps II's borg så ska det ha hittats kolrester inne i fähuset, något som tolkats som att trälarna bott inne hos djuren. Eketorp III däremot var inne på medeltiden och då tjänade borgen som en garnison. Antar då att soldaterna hade med sig sina familjer och att de bodde tillsammans med andra familjer. Tjänstefolket i sig sen kan säkert ha bott tsm i enskilda hus alternativt hos den som denne tjänade - de ska ju upp tidigast och sätta igång med dagens bestyr, eld, mat, mjölka borgherren osv.

Ja, det blev ju fler barn i alla fall. Så antingen var det något så naturligt att ingen reagerade på det, eller så var man väldigt tyst och försiktig.

Sov man direkt i halmen med en filt över sig eller hade man en filt under sig också? Kanske var det en stor filt som man låg invirad i.

Sen kan man fråga sig hur det var med sexet när man sov hela familjen i en stor säng... [:)]

På Middelaldersentret vid Nyköping F i Danmark har de flesta husen sovloft. Loft definieras här av att man tar sig upp via en stege istället för via en trappa. En del loft är fulla med halm, och hela familjen sover tillsammans i en stor hög. Andra loft har halmmadrasser på golven. Sängar finns på nedervåningar eller övervåningar med trappa. De fick flytta en säng från ett sovloft för att det inte var tidsenligt med sängar på loft. Detta gällde när jag var där för fem år sedan.

Utifrån det känns det logiskt att de i en borg som inte har sängar sover i en hög med halm på ett sovloft.
