På hans gamla hemsida fanns det länk till The Traditionel Bowyers Guild. Det är inte samma som det ovan nämnda bowyers and fletchers guild. Jag har tyvärr inte sparat länken, den fanns ju på hemsidan...

Om någon vill ha en engelsk långbåge i idegran har han en på rea nu. Bara 150 GBP (ca 2020 kr)+ frakt. Först till kvarn...[;)]

"Steve is the current Grand Master of the Traditional Bowyers Guild, a closed society of master craftsmen"
vilket låter väldigt hemligt och inte som om dom skulle vilja ha kontakt med folk som snokar på internetsidor[:)]

Den sidan känner jag till, men är det samma som The traditional bowyers guild? Jag har fått intrycket att The Craft Guild of Traditional Bowyers and Fletchers är inriktade på ELB och i den form som British Longbow Society använder.
Mr. Ralphs står inte listad bland medlemmarna, även om jag har för mig att han gjorde det en gång i tiden, för sisådär en tre år sedan. Gällande hans sida så var IMHO den gamla versionen bättre, den nya kändes enbart segladdad även på ADSL-uppkoppling.

Har du adressen till deras hemsida?
Jag misstänker nämligen starkt att "Grand Master" i det här fallet enbart betecknar en grad av hantverksskicklighet och inget annat. Det vore även roligt att veta vad som ligger i beteckningen "traditional".

Lägg därtill att han som inhyrd konsult, bågmakare, statist, etc. må vara hur duktig som helst, men i slutänden är det inte han som beslutar om saker & ting under filminspelningen.
