Jo, det är ju en slags vikingagrupp som anställs av Strömma kanalbolaget för att visa upp hantverk och grejer på Birka på sommaren, och jag antar att det är fullt möjligt att de visar husen. Vi (högskolestudenterna som bygger husen) får väl ha kurs med dem eller nåt!

Fyller på Clas svar med komplettering angående de hus som redan står därute, eftersom jag antar att det är dem du pratar om egentligen (eftersom de andra inte finns än, så att säga ...)

De två hus som idag finns på Birka är byggda av bland andra Magnus Sjöholm och Thomas Hagaeus (aktiv här på forumet) på uppdrag av Strömma kanalbolaget, Riksantikvarieämbetet och Högskolan på Gotland. Ansvariga för visniningen av det är i huvudsak Strömma kanalbolaget, som ju har ett praktiskt ansvar för den allra mesta annan verksamhet inklusive guidning på Birka.

Vad gäller de hus vi bygger under våren kommer vi själva att guida byggandet av dessa när vi är på plats, annars kommer det an på Birkas-guiderna.

Byggprojektet är ett samarbete mellan Högskolan Gotland, Riksantikvarieämbetet och Strömma Kanalbolag. Under hösten har bla Björn Ambrosiani och Dan Carlsson föreläst tillsammans med många andra kunniga och duktiga förläsare. Huvudlärare är Magnus Sjöholm som bla deltagit i rekonstruktionsarbetet av Eketorp.

Under förra veckan var vi hos mig i Gyllbergen i Borlänge och avverkade tall och gran med traditionella metoder, dvs vendeltida och vikingatida yxreplikor och drog ut stockarna med häst.

Vad gäller visandet så kommer arbetet att ske publikt.
