Museet är inriktat på fjällens natur och kultur, samer och nybyggare. Mycket roligt (men jag är partisk)
Länsmuseet i Luleå: http://www.norrbottensmuseum.nu - bra och aktiv verksamhet i hela länet.
Silvermuseet: http://silvermuseet.arjeplog.se
Museet är alls inte "bara " lappmarksdoktorns silversamling, utan har dessutom en oerhört intressant forskning och dokumentation om kulturlandskapet.
Sen gäller det ju att tänka praktiskt och taktiskt kanske, som Myra skriver. Personligen tycker jag att det varit mest givande att jobba på mindre museer, där arbetsuppgifterna varit MYCKET olika, än på större museer, där det kan bli ettämnesarbeten.

generellt kan jag nog påstå att vad gäller praktiker så är det inte alltid det tuffaste museet som ger bästa praktiken. utbytet av praktiken beror mest på hur engagerad personalen är i praktikanten. mindre museer kan många gånger erbjuda om inte en bättre praktik, så åtminstone minst lika bra praktiker som stora viktiga institutioner!

det är också bra att tänkta taktiskt, på vad som är viktigast i meritlistan, en praktik på en imponerande institution eller ett bra lokalt nätverk där man planerar att söka jobb...

Här i London finns ju det mesta. British Museum måste väl vara drömmen för de flesta historieintresserade.

Personligen föredrar jag nog Museum of London. Men eftersom ingen av dessa två museer har skandinavisk inriktning, så är de nog inte relevanta i detta sammanhanget.

Irlands nationalmuseum har en avdelning om den vikingatida bosättningen i Dublin, men jag vet inte hur de ställer sig till praktikanter. Tycker annars också om nationalmuseum i Köpenhamn. Deras förhistoriska utställning håller visserligen på att byggas om och öppnar inte förrän våren 2008.

Ska vara på praktik där i 9v i slutet på nåsta vårtermin men måste som sagt redan nu börja kolla upp. Eller iofs så om ni har tips på ett intresant museum utomlands (gärna skandinaviskt inriktat) som jag också skulle kunna vara på så uppskattas även tips där.
