Krapp är ett färgämne med mycket gamla anor i norden och räknades bland de "äkta" färgerna, dvs den bästa sortens färger (tillsammans med indigo, vau och purpur). Ska man färga riktigt bra röd på tyg och garn så är detta det bästa.

Krapp är klart min personliga favorit bland växtfärgerna.

Krappen är malen och säljs om kilot eller halvkilot.

125 kr / 0,5 kg (jmfr Korps 170kr eller Gudruns ullbod 180 kr)
200 kr / 1 kg

På köpet får man ett hemligt färgarrecept på krapp hämtat ur ett tidigare opublicerat 1700-talsmanuskript.[8D]
