nån av er som vet något om:
* hur långa piggar som verkar ha varit brukligt i skandinavien under historisk tid?
* om det finns spår för hur tätt piggarna kan ha suttit och hur de kan ha varit monterade?
* om kan man se nån utveckling och förändring av kammarnas konstruktion under århundradena? (och därmed även en förändring i kamningsprocessen?)

jag har hittils funnit några ströartiklar med referenser som beskriver ullkammsfynd och ullfibrer, men inte speciellt många uttömmande och inga som är specifikt inriktade på kamning och ullberedning.
* finns det någon/några arkeologer/textilare eller dylikt som ägnat sig åt detta ämne och publicerat något som går att få tag på?

själv måste jag erkänna att jag väldigt dåligt insatt i den arkeologiska världen och har noll koll på fyndmaterial.
mina planerar för sommaren är nämnligen att försöka mig lite experiment och då, med viss utlovad hjälp, bygga mig ett par ullkammar och en långrock...
så innan jag sätter igång tänkte jag höra efter om det är nån här som har erfarenheter av dylika ullprojekt?

Jag har allvarligt övervägt KG Lindblads kammar som Ny Björn länkade till härovan, men jag är inte säker på att de är exakt sådana jag vill ha. Jag har aldrig testat att kamma ull och skulle gärna vilja hålla i ett par kammar innan jag köper dem... Har pratat med Lena Hammarlund som kammar, spinner och väver i diverse rekonstruktionsprojekt och hon säger att det är hopplöst att få tag i bra kammar. Det verkar gälla att veta vad man vill ha och hitta en smed som kan göra dem efter ens specifikationer... Det finns flera nätbutiker i USA som säljer kammar av varierande utseende, men jag är tveksam till att beställa därifrån.

Så om någon hittar något mer om ullkammar någonstans (i Norden), posta gärna infon här!!!
