"1313 Slaget vid Röcklinge Backe"]]> Styringheim körde slaget som ett senario i sitt större krig. Det blev dock lite friktion med arrangören då vi inte kunde göra ett uppgjort krig. Vad vi hade kommit överrens om att göra och hur de presenterade det skilde sig något... Det hela löste sig bra till slut i alla fall.
Men evenemanget är mycket mera lämpligt för reenactment än för SCA-strid. Jag hoppas verkligen att det går att få fram tillräckligt många deltagare för att genomföra det på ett bra sätt.

Går det bra så kanske det i förlägningen öppnar för fler reenactment på ön (Korsbetningen, någon...). Kanske går det i framtiden att göra flera slag under samma vecka?

Var det någon där? Vad kan man lära av det? Finns det andra större arrangerade blankvapen-slag som man kan dra lärdom från?

Sveriges kung vill ha ut mer skatt av gotlänningarna och åker med ett mindre krigsfölje till ön för att driva igenom detta. Han landstiger på nordöstra Gotland för att tåga mot Roma/Visby. Gotlänningarna vill dock inte betala högre skatt och samlar ihop en bondehär för att möta kungen. Det blir ett slag vid Röcklinge backe där kungen tillfångats. Det är nära att kungen dödas av de arga bönderna men en bonde övertalar de andra att låta honom leva. Istället förs kungen till Visby där han hålls fången ett tag innan han släpps. Som tack skall kungen senare ha dubbat den hjälpsamme bonden till riddare. Bondens gård finns kvar och heter än i dag Ridare.
Det kan nämnas att kungen senare höjde gutarnas skatt i alla fall.

Detta är historien som jag kommer ihåg den. Den som kan mer får gärna tillföra mer fakta.

"1313 Slaget vid Röcklinge Backe"]]> Det som är viktigast att tänka på är att det skall vara publikt i första hand, går det att få det så kul som möjligt för stridsfolk så är ju det bra.

kom gärna med ideér. de som anordnar slaget och föreläsningen med Dick är Lärbro Hembyggdsförening.
Jag försöker hjälpa dem igång, som sagt så tror jag att det kan bli bra och stort i framtiden.

Då man självklart är på gotland under medeltidsveckan är jag mycket intresserad.

Några funderingar som jag tror behövs klargöras är, vilka kampregler kommer att råda? Vilken klädstandard kommer att efterfrågas?

Hoppas att det blir ett stort och häftigt slag.

"1313 Slaget vid Röcklinge Backe"]]> Svenskarna lär ha fått stryk då de underskattat Gutarna. Kungen togs till fånga men blev pga. en rättrådig Hejnumbonde benådad. Denna Gute blev enligt sägen senare dubbad till riddare som tack av Kungen.

Hur det nu kan ha gått till, vad som är sägen, historia och möjlig sanning kommer Dick Harrisson att föreläsa om vid platsen för slaget på Medeltidsveckan i år-05 Torsdagen den 11 augusti Kl 1600.

<font color="red">Slaget kommer att bli iscensatt med bra regi och historisk kunnande inom medeltida slag.</font id="red">

<b>Det behövs dock folk</b>, massor med folk som vill deltaga. I år kommer det tyvärr inte bli någon ersättning men det blir nog rackarns kul och media lär vara på plats, för dem som vill synas.
Detta kan mycket väl komma att växa till kommande år och så småningom är kanske kämpar och gutar mogna för "korsbetningen" inne i Visby.
