En annan sak hon hittat är att en del hembygdsdräkter har överlappande tyg över bröstet som fungerar som en gylf ungefär. Det betyder att man slipper snöra och knäppa när man ska amma.

Vill ni ha det bättre förklarat så får ni gärna ta kontakt direkt med henne.

Men du, jag tror inte att den är snörd, om man tittar på sömmen över det andra bröstet ser det snarare ut att vara laskat (sytt), eller?

Men jag är fortfarande övertygad om att jag har sett en bild (som jag har för mig var 1300-tal) där en kvinna ammar genom en uppsnörd slits i en blå klänning. Så jag återkommer förhoppningsvis med den någon gång.

Den är från 1260-90. Klänningen är normalt hög i halsen och hon har tagit ut bröste genom en slits och håller i det. En svartvit bild kan ses i boken "Norges malerkunst. Bind 1 fra middelalderen till 1900", Drammen 1993, Gyldendal förlag.

PS. När jag ammade för åtta år sedan hade jag inte de kunskaper jag har nu så jag kom inte ens på att göra slitsar vid brösten, utan gjorde en djup slits i överklänningen. Nu skulle jag nog välja att ha något från perioden efter 1360 där man ofta har knappar eller snörning fram. Fast bröstslitsar verkar kul.

När du skall amma snör du upp din överklänning och tar ut brösten genom slitsarna.
På en bild från 11-1200-talet jag sett (minns inte var) sitter en kvinna och ammar, hon har bara på sig ett ärmlöst linne och ammar genom ärmhålet.
På en del gravar i Birka finns ett litet spänne placerat mitt på bröstet. Spännet indikerar med största sannolikhet ett sprund på en urringad särk. Det finns ingen större anledning att ha ett sprund på något som man redan kan få över huvudet om man inte behöver öppna plagget ytterligare för att komma åt brösten. Hängselkjolen skyddar från drag in genom sprundet och den är lätt att kana ned eller ta av.
Lösningarna genom århundradena måste ha varit både många och fantasifulla, hoppas du hittar några som passar dig!
