Bilder från 1200-talet visar gansak små halshål, nästan utan urtag, eller möjligen helt utan urtag, på ryggsidan och runt eller lätt kantigt halshål fram. Bockstensmannens kjortel hade å andra sidan ett halshål med 80 cm omkrets, nästan runt och med den förskjutning så att det mer av rundningen hamnade fram.

Nu är mitt problem att jag råkat gjort kragen lite (eller rättare sagt MYCKET) för stor! Finns det något sätt man kan rätta till det på? Kanske sätta dit en krage som på en doublet eller gambeson? Är detta rätt eller skall jag låta den vara enorm i halsen, fanns det någon som var sådan kanske?? Orolig....

Finns det verkligen inga någorlunda samtida illustrationer? Då får man väl gå till angränsande områden och ännu vidare tidsperspektiv. Jag vet att det finns några bilder på vikingatida kvinnor (de s.k. guldgubbarna) och romerska kvinnor finns ju avbildade, i alla fall som statyer. Vad jag kan komma på har alla jag har sett hellånga klänningar, som t.o.m. släpar i marken. Så hellång låter väl bra.

När jag har en hellång klänning på mig utan hosor till, så fryser jag ungefär upp till knäna. Resten av benen värms rätt bra av klänningen. Om man har en knälång tunika så måste hosorna vara längre än vanligt för att man inte ska frysa. Eftersom strumpebanden till den här dräkten satt precis under knäna så tyder det på att hosorna var knälånga, och då borde klänningen ha varit hellång.

Detta kanske verkar självklart för en del av er, men jag har inte riktigt tänkt på det förrän nu.
