Tagel kan krullas genom att man tvinnar det snorhårt tills det knorvlar ihop sig, sedan knyter man om och kokar det en kort stund. Då blir knorvlarna permenenta.
Inslag i brickband är ett annat historiskt användningsområde, jag har precis gjort ett försök men tyvärr lyckades jag inte särskilt bra.

När jag städae lite i vår gamla loge så hittade jag i ett skåp flera knippen med tagel från kosvansar. Dessa är förmodligen från 50-talet, kanske tidigare.

Vad kan man nu använda detta till i sin medeltidshobby? Några fina förslag? Har hört att man skulle kunna nålbinda med det, men hur spinner man tagel?

Jag misstänker att krullat kan vara bättre eftersom det fyller upp lite mer men det borde vara effektivt i fuktigt väder oavsett vad, linne eller bomullsstoppade vadderade plagg har ju en tendens att bli blöta och otympliga om det regnar eller är fuktigt i luften.
