Mammenmanchetten var exakt den jag tänkte på och den är ju precis som redan sagt från vikingatiden. Någonstans tror jag ändå att jag har hört om lösa manchetter från FVT som knäpps med agraffer men jag kan ju ha drömt det. Någon som vet bättre? Jag tänkte att det kunde vara någon slags manchettutveckling fram till vikingatid... [:)]

Ellen Høigård Hofseth skriver en del om agraffer och folkvandringstida dräktskick i en artikel som heter "Valgets kval. To rekonstruksjoner fra folkevandringstid". Den beskriver arbetet bakom de dräkter som Oldsaksamlingen i Oslo rekonstruerade. Den finns i "Universitets Oldsaksamling Årbok 1997/1998", som finns på en hel drös universitetsbibliotek. Det liknar mest en uppvikt skjorta med knappar och knapphål på. Jag vill antingen ha agraffen direkt på tyget, eller på en "ordentlig" manchett liknande den där stoppade röda saken med brickband som jag inte minns var den kommer ifrån. Fast denna bok handlar ju inte om agraffer iofs... Några åsikter om detta?

Visst finns [url="http://www.ulfhednar.org/frame.htm"]Ulfhednar[/url] o.dyrl. sammanslutningar som sysslar med folkvandrings- och vendeltid, men de stilar mer och forskar mindre så att säga. Dessutom kan deras bakomliggande åsikter ibland kännas en smula prekära
