Jag har alltid tyckt att den här typen av överklänningar är så fina, men har mest bara sett dem i "gör-medeltida-kläder-för-teatern"-böcker och har också undrat om de bara är kreativa påhitt...


Det finns i alla fall klänningar som är snörda i ena sidan:

För ett tag sedan surfade jag dock förbi en bild från ett medeltida manuskript som innehöll en klänning som faktiskt såg ut som Eowyns klänning, med de där karaktärisktiska bågformade inklippen i sidorna. Nu kan jag självklart inte hitta den...och vid närmare eftertanke kan jag lika gärna sett den i en bok någonstans.

Är det någon annan som stött på någon liknande avbildning?

Själv börjar jag misstänka att det bara var min sönderstressade hjärna som drömde ihop alltihopa för att pigga upp mig, men hittar jag referensen igen någonstans så hör jag av mig här...

Kanske användes de av en del samhällsklasser som skyddsförkläden? (Då sydda i något enklare material, har även sett vita, kanske linne som går lätt att tvätta??)
Säkert vet någon annan mer om detta!
