Stickade som sagt, det syns dessutom väldigt väl när man tittar på dem.

De byxor som liderligt refereras till i modelejon titt som tätt är som sagt virkade(?), MEN dom var dessutom den tysk-romerske kejsaren Karl V:s byxor. Vilket gör att dom inte är representativa om man inte vill göra kejserliga byxor. Dessutom är dom troligen från 1550-talet(tidigast 1540), vilket gör att dom i princip trillar ur landsknektsperioden, om det var det som eftersöktes.

Dom fina hosorna från Alpirsbach som Todd hänvisade till är inte stickade (vilket han nog inte heller påstod), utan tillverkade i linne-"twill".

Det mesta tyder på att man precis som under föregående sekler tillverkade hosorna i tyg, framförallt ylle/kläde, men bevisligen också linne. Några stickade/virkade/nålbundna hosor finns inte varken bevarade eller belagda mig veterligen. Däremot finns det som tidigare länkar visade, strumpor, vilket är en annan femma.

Stickade, virkning dyker inte upp förrän på 1800-talet. Tyvärr finns det inget mösnter till dem vare sig i "Modelejon" eller i "The history of hand knitting".
De är stickade silketråd och ätr troligen ett så exklusivt plagg att det knappast är aktuellt för en landsknekt i all fall. Men fina och gula.

Just de stickade hosornas/strumpor var eller ej är ett het debatterat område. Men nog fanns de innan 1800talet?

Vidare så i jämnförelse med antalet bevarade hosor från 1500-1600 tal så står sig dessa ref. relativt bra?

Den enda bevarade ref. jag har sett på typ landsknekts hosor är ett par gjorda av linne från tidigt 1500tal, dessa är inte stickade och har inga av de så typiska slitsningarna. Skall leta efter en länk.
