Janet Arnolds bok som Anna-Carin skrev om antar jag är den som har undertiteln <i>Englishwomen's Dresses And Their Construction, c. 1660 - 1860</i>.

Sarah: Ska en borgerlig dräkt inte ha någon slags höftvalkar eller pocher under kjolarna? Räcker det med stubben?

Den sägs ska vara slut på förlaget, men finns på bibliotek. Det trevliga med den boken är att den ovanligt nog beskriver svenska dräkter...

En mycket bra bok är <i>Patterns of Fashion: 1660-1860</i> av Janet Arnold. Där är mönster till äldre kläder rekonstruerade från plagg på museer. Det finns en hel del annan information i boken också.

Jag såg att du blev tipsad om Gustafs Skål. Deras länksida tar upp en del sidor om dräkter, bl.a. och .

har gamla svenska målningar sökbara i WebArt på deras hemsida. Man kan söka både på årtal och konstnär (t.ex. Pehr Hilleström).

Ett bra tips är nog att börja med underkläderna - korsett m.m. Det är ett helt projekt i sig.
