Brukar man inte kalla typ kostymtyger i ull för ulltyg

"Kostymylle" är den term jag har hört användas om det tunna ylletyg som används i kostymer. Om det är syntet i eller inte vet jag inte. Jag har hittills inte varit benägen att elda på mina kostymer... ;)

Jag håller med om att man i 100% ull/ylle tillåts en viss % andra fibrer, åtminstone 5% i ren ny ull och något högre i ylle, något som kan ge oanade effekter när man färgar. Man får även i blanda in en viss del stickylle i ren ny ull och fortfarande kalla det ren ny ull.

Men jag är inte säker på att denna skillnad mellan ull- och yllefibrer fortfarande är aktuell. Det kan eventuellt vara enbart "100% ren ny ull" som idag avser de oanvända fibrerna och att allt annat får innehålla vilket det vill.

Har läst i en bok om materialbeskrivning att garn som benäms 100% ull består av 95% ull och 5& syntet. Tillverkningsindustrin tillåter detta, då synteten gör garnet hållbarare samt gör att de inte sliter lika mycket på "maskinerna".

Däremot består garn som benäms 100% ylle av bara 15% ull, ca 65% andra naturfibrer och upp till 20% syntetfiber.

Så jag tycker det verkar tveksamtom huruvida ylletyg är 100% ull. Det är en sak vad man i folkmun hävdar, en annan vad som gäller den industriella tillverkningen och benämningen.

Viss borde det vara självklart att ylletyg är samma sak som tyg av ull... men jag är inte säker...
