Jag kör med hällor och har köpt billiga knappar som enligt säljaren är till norska folkdräkter, så växlar jag upp till snyggare knappar från historiska fynd allteftersom.

Vad jag känner till så har det mest varit knäppning med öglor, inte knapphål.
Jag har sett flera kaftaner utan krage, så det är nog ingen fara. Är du orolig över att inte vara tillräckligt pyntad så går det ju att brodera längs halslinningen även om du inte gör en hög krage.

Kaftanen i länken ovan ser snygg och bekväm ut och jag är inne på att sy något liknande, så till vida att dräkten anses som en god tolkning. Jag menar att man vill ju inte bli tittad snett på när man ska ut och tuffa sig på nästa vikingamarknad...

Jag är ute efter goda råd i allmänhet samt undrar mer specifikt över knapparna och kragen.

Knapparna: Hur såg knapparna ut? De syns inte så bra på bilderna. Knapphål eller öglor? Någon alternativ lösning som också fungerar bra?

Kragen: höga kragar är inte min grej, har knappt någon hals som det är. Kan man skippa kragen eller blir man utskrattad då?
