Då pratar vi om Tureholm utanför Trosa i Sörmland. Den s.k. Tureholmsskatten. Gör man en sökning på guldskatter dyker av en märklig anledning Vittene upp i tid och otid. Dock är den Sveriges tredje största, dessa guldskatter bevisar självfallet inget annat än att den person som grävde ner dem var mycket rik.

Jag har mailat lite med mina kamrater i New Varangian Guard. Ingen av dem kände till att det skulle vara någon form av runskrift på den där pelaren, snarare allmän grafitti utan skandinavisk koppling. Jag har dock inte fått svar från Steven Lowe ännu så det kan fortfarande dyka upp nått - om inte Steven vet det så finns det inte, i alla fall vad det gäller väringar.

Dessutom är det heliga trädet i sig defenitivt inget typiskt nordiskt. Symboliken finns i snart sagt varenda religion. Den keltiska förkristna religionen var speciellt förknippad med träd, liksom en del kontinentalgermanska trosriktningar, se exempelvis Irminsul.
Även i kristen mytologi figurerar flera träd. Det jag framhöll var att det inte finns en automatisk koppling mellan korset och ett träd. MEN det har funnits och finns riktningar och tankegångar inom kristendomen som gått i den riktningen.

Vi vet att väringarna gjorde pilgrimsfärder till Jorsaland
och besökte Jorsalir. Dessutom finns det <b>mängder</b> med information
om tidiga Jerusalemfarare från Norden. Tyvärr skrivs det allt för
lite om det här på svenska språket.

En rolig legend är den om Olaf Tryggvason. Olaf den mäktige som
försvann vid det berömda slaget ute på sjön, dog aldrig, han dök
senare upp i Syrien som mystisk munk, han sände gåvor och
meddelande tillbaka till Norge. Hans identitet avslöjades aldrig,
allt enligt legenden.

Med ursprunglig menar jag ursprunglig blandning mellan tidig
kristendom och Odenkult, jag återkommer angående det.

Man kan tänka sig att de inte kom hem tomhänta efter
en så lång resa. Det gäller pilgrimer från Orkney, Armenien
och Sverige. Symboliken i liljestenarna känns ursprunglig.
