Jag har sett en del skåror i stenbumlingar som (av platsbrist?) överlappar varandra med mycket liten vinkel och mycket skarpa kanter. Själv tror jag att det skulle vara svårt att göra detta på fri hand
med stavar, svärd eller yxor, däremot inte omöjligt med snabbt
roterande ganska tunga ek-hjul med stor gyro-effekt.

Jag har med modell-experiment konstaterat att sådana skåror kan formas av roterande ek-hjul, med vatten som smörjning. Träytan nöts inte, utan samlar på sig
sandkorn resp, kalkstensmjöl som verkas som slipmedel.
Jag prövar hypotesen att hjulen var balanshjul för att stabilisera
och kontrollera rotationshastigheten i konstruktioner för vatten- resp. vindkraft. De kan ha varit tidiga vatten- resp. väderkvarnar eller till för att reglera vattennivåer, akvedukter eller bevattningssystem på Gotland, under några århundraden.
När en skåra blivit för gjup, måste man börja på en ny, för att axelns
kugghjul inte ska hoppa ur...

Matti, vet du om Sven letade och fann metall i många rännor? Skulle ju kännas mer överygande. Sven är väl troligen klok nog att inte glömma att viss sten innehåller metall..

Faktum är att detta testats med ett svärd av rätt modell och efter ett tag bildades en karaktäristisk skåra. Sven Österholm besåg detta och det var även han som senare testade om det fanns metallrester i en "äkta" skåra.

Den enklaste och bästa teorin jag hört till dags dato och en som faktist har vissa data talande för sig.

Helt "säkra astronomiska" stenar har jag själv varit med om att bonden berättat hur han flyttat lång väg. Andra "säkra" har åtminstone flyttats runt på platsen. De som gillar den astronomiska tanken har dock vägrat att så kunde vara fallet.
