Nå. Vill man läsa en bok av god akademisk standard (vad nu Morgan Jarl lägger in i detta begrepp) i ämnet, kan jag som jag brukar när detta tas upp rekommendera "Skammens röda blomma? ; Menstruationen och den menstruerande kvinnan i svensk tradition" av Denise Malmberg. Uppsala: Uppsala universitet, 1991.

Jag har svårt att tro att det var renlav, mer troligt är vitmossa som faktiskt är mycket fuktabsorberande. Renlaven är torr, hård och suger inte upp någon fukt alls. Men dessa två förväxlas ofta, bland annat kan man se Ronja lägga torr renlav på den skadade hästen i filmen (Aj!!), och vi kallar renlaven som vi har i adventljusstaken för vitmossa.
Det är alltså stor skillnad....(kanske bara jag som bryr mig, men ändå... ) [:)]

Sedan en gissning. Jag tror att en så enkel sak som att alla behöver kunna kissa enkelt och lätt är orsaken till att kvinnor burit kjol under så lång tid.

När man lever och bor i naturen så krymper blåsan, inte beroende på just naturboendet som sådant utan på att när man känner sig nödig så åtgärdar man detta rent praktiskt omgående – och man behöver ju inte leta efter en toalett utan man gör det direkt på platsen. Detta innebär att blåsan aldrig riktigt spänns ut = kan innehålla mer = konsekvens - man kissar ofta.

Jag bodde i fjällen långa tider, halvårsvis ibland. När jag bodde där märkte jag ingenting men när jag kom tillbaka till staden där jag då bodde uppstod problem direkt = panik att snabbt hitta en toalett… Efter ca 1 månad hade jag ”stadsblåsa” igen.

Har läst i en bok av mindre historisk akademisk standard om kvinnors hälsa och historisk användande av mensskydd att man inte har använt dem förrän på 1800-talet. Innan dess lät man det helt enkelt rinna som det ville, och det var inte ansett som nått äckligt att ha en blodfläck på kjolens baksida. Om detta är sant så bör ju underkläder inte ha blivit använt, och det skulle förklara varför kvinnor använder kjol/klänning snarare än byxor - vilket jag alltid undrat varför denna skilnad uppstått.

En kort presentation av en teori. Kan någon bekräfta eller förklara hur modeskillnaderna uppstått?

jag vet att det inte finns några bevis för eller emot att kvinnor använder underkläder på 1300-talet, så vitt vi vet säkert. Detta är en teori som söker bevis snarare än ett påstående om sanning.
