Hittade inget om detta vid en snabb genomläsning...
Lagen handlar mest om att reglera saker mellan fria egendomsägande män, även om trälar och fattigfolk nämns några gånger.
Skulle tro att det du eftersöker är en fråga helt för husbonden att styra efter gammal sed. Ej efter lag.
Men man får en bra känsla av hur det tänktes genom att läsa igenom alla tre lagböckerna.

En husbonde hade dessutom husbondens rättigheter över anställda, dvs fick (och skulle) tukta och aga dem. I eras lön ingick, mat, husrum, tre par skor och ett par träskor (bla, jag skriver från minnet nu..)

Straff för rymning... jag vet inte om etta regleras i lagen, men eftersom husbonn har rätt till det kan säkert prygling förekomma.

Det medeltida rättsystemet var lite rörigt med olika sorts dominstanser vars jurisdiktion går in i varanra.

Jag har fått intrycket att pigor och drängar (under 1800-talet) ofta anställdes för ett år i taget, men att det också fanns kortare anställningstider. När de anställdes för ett år brukade "året" ofta sluta vid Mickelsmäss och de hade då under en vecka chansen att försöka hitta en ny husbonde. Jag är dock osäker på om detta gällde under medeltiden.

Vid mitt letande idag fick jag intrycket att böter var ett vanligt straff för mindre förseelser och det skulle även passa in bra i romanen om de kunde lösa detta genom förhandling och betalning utan någon större dramatik.

Men jag har fortfarande inte hittat någon säker källa och är fortfarande intresserad ifall någon vet något om möjliga straff för detta.

En kvinna arbetar som piga på en medeltida bondgård. Hon rymmer därifrån innan kontraktstiden gått ut. Vilken sorts straff kan man tänka sig för detta kontraktsbrott?

Om ni inte kan svaret men vet något om straff för motsvarande brott under senare tid, t.ex. 1800-talet, vore det också intressant att höra.

Jag har försökt hitta svaret på Internet och fått intrycket att det var straffbart att rymma från sitt arbete, men jag har inte hittat det relevanta straffet.
