New member and info request on Gota

Hello, I am a new member to the forum. I am a Norse LH interpreter in the USA, and I have relatives in Sweden who used to come from Gotaborg. I have learned that Gotaborg the city goes back to the 1400's, but I am interested to learn if there has been done any archaeological work on the Gota river, especially near the mouth, with finds from the Viking period.

Btw - how did that A-frame tent of yours turn out?

Hej, Ny Björn,

Thanks for the reply, I will contact that local group. I have temporarily put aside the A frame to first make something simpler, similar to taking a sail cloth or a supplies tarp and propping it up with an oar in a triangular fashion from front opening to back. I'll see how I like it. As my character is portrayed as a plain farmer traveling and bringing with him the items he would have on an extended trip, that may be a more accurate way to go. We'll see.

I have a lot of extra green and aging wood around at present as I had a tree fall on my house last year during a hurricane, so I am also planning to make some more stools and such from scratch cut right from the tree.
