Onse oppon a time I found a webpage with a nice pattern for a sark. It was said to be finish. Now the page has vanished. Does anyone know about the page or the sarkpattern?
The page wae called somthing like "Vestrus-vikingships"
The sark has gores in both sides. And the gores runs from the bottom of the dres all the way to the armpit ond futher on along the arms. I have the pattern but would like to know more abaut the origin of it.

I have already answered Karin in the Swedish textile forum, but for the benefit of our English speaking members I repeat it here.

The pattern is published in "Ancient Finnish Costumes" by Pirkko-Liisa Lethosalo-Hilander, page 50. It's a reconstruction of the so-called Eura costume which is discussed in detail the book (much recommended!).
