Eftersom nästan all literatur angående historiskt återskapande är på engelska undrar jag ur man till svenska ska översätta ord såsom "Plate armour", "coat-of-plates", "pot helm" och "man-at-arms"?

Plate armour - plåtrustning, helrustning
Coat-of-plates - plata, överdragsrustning, visbyharnesk
Pot helm - (tidig) tunnhjälm

Man-at-arms kan mer utförligt skrivas "sven av vapen", men sven funkar.

Vad sägs om "vapensven" så att man förstår att det är en beväpnad karl det handlar om? "Sven" användes väl om unga män i allmänhet?
